Problematyka przestępczości seksualnej w latach 40. i 50. X X w. Trudności badawcze

Abstrakt

The main purpose of the article is to give deeper insight into the study of sexual crime in the late 40s and early 50s of 20th century in communist Poland. The author focuses not only on ordinary citizens, but also takes into consideration the employees of the Ministry of Public Security. The article traces the development of legal and scientifi c theories. Relying both on research of distinguished scholars as well as on archival sources, the author analyses the attitude of investigators and society towards victims and offenders. The article also addresses the issue of dark figure of crimes associated with refraining from reporting crimes committed and legal or illegal fi les weeding, as well as discussing the characteristics of the archival material.
